We're so excited to be home for the first time in one week. It is kind of surreal actually. I was walking down the driveway to take out the trash when I got home and realized just how wonderful life is. It's going to take a lot to get me down off the high I'm in right now. God is good, and so are all of our friends and family! Thank you for joining with us in our celebration!

Going Home!
We left the hospital around 9am this morning! Thanks to all the wonderful nurses and doctors at Baptist East who worked so hard to keep Camden safe and us happy! Several of the nurses pulled strings for us to help us have more time with him and even this morning, a nurse asked the doctor to discharge Camden first. Not even a minute after the doctor discharged Camden, she was called to the other end of the hospital for the rest of the morning!

Saturday March 29
Great news! The hospital is letting sleep in a room right next to the special care unit tonight! We will be able to take him back to our room for the whole afternoon and then send him back only for his final antibiotic treatment and for the nighttime.
Mommy and daddy had a hard time for a little bit because he was circumcised today and he was a little sore. Never in my life, have I been so sad to see someone in pain. However, we're excited that tomorrow should be his final day here!

Day 5, March 27
Camden continues to make progress and has begun nursing every three hours. God has answered all of our prayers thus far and I know will continue to do so. The little guy is so tired, its hard for him to get full feedings. But I suspect a few more times and he'll have the hang of it.
The hospital is currently letting us stay in the Pediatrics unit which is a pretty good walk to where he is staying. Unfortunately, the long walks to and from in the middle of the night were a little draining. However, its just good practice for the next month or so.

Camden's Arrival
Camden Bryce Matson was born on March 23, 2008. Weighing in at 7 pounds 14 ounces, and measuring 20 and 3/4 inches, Camden made his father proud! Camden was sent to the special care unit where he has been monitored since. He had too much fluid on his lungs and is currently receiving sugar water and antibiotics through an IV. He's a trooper though, and I am already seeing some improvement in his appearance. Camden, you're awesome buddy! Keep up the great work!
